We wanted to show you just how tough the AquaBrick Containers really are, so we took a 1976 Scout Terra and rolled it over four AquaBricks full of water to answer one question: "WILL THEY LEAK?" We did this test three times and not a drop! The AquaBrick Containers are ideal for long term food and water storage as they are GUARANTEED 100% LEAK PROOF!

Each AquBrick Container will hold 3 gallons of water or 20 pounds of food or dry storage. The caps seal tightly, making them leakproof and sealing in freshness!

AquaBrick Containers will hold up to 3 gallons of water or other beverages for long term storage. Easily fill from your household faucets or outdoor garden hoses for long term water storage, transport for outdoor adventures, or use at sporting events for hydration.

Airtight, Crushproof Dry Foods Storage

Fill the containers with up to 20 pounds of grains, pastas, dry legumes, pet food, or any other type of dry food goods. Tighten the cap of the container and you're set to keep the contents fresh and usable after long term storage.

Use the handy AquaBrick funnel accessory to make filling with dry goods a snap! Just set the funnel on the mouth of the container, press to secure, and start pouring away with your dried food goods. Your fill process is simple and mess-free. The funnel is designed to attach to the side protrusions of the container, so no need to hunt for the accessory each time. The funnel also fits wide mouth bottling jars, too.

The AquaBrick Ventless Spigot Cap converts your container into the perfect beverage dispenser. Easily pour up to 3 gallons of any water or beverage with ease. The design allows the spigot placement at the bottom of the container so you can get faster flow and empty the contents without having to tilt the container upward to get the last of the beverage inside.

The Containers have superior design and engineering to provide ease of transport anywhere you want to take your bricks. If you just want a long-term, bomb-proof, water storage container then this is for you. But I'm using this as a water dispenser for my rv. I wanted something that could take a few knocks.
I love the vented faucet - much better than other water containers where you have to loosen a cap or release a seal. The instructions indicate that the rubber gasket goes on the outside of the cap rather than the inside, so just switch it round.
If anything's going to fail, it'll be the cap seals which are loose fitting and seemingly flimsy. With regular unscrewing and screwing, I can see them wearing out or tearing.
Lastly, the color choice of industrial blues is an eye sore. It's unpleasant to look at if it's going to be used every day. I covered my containers in a cheerful fabric.

UPDATE: So far the seals are holding but the main problem is the spigot. It requires an incredible amount of torque just to turn the thing on and off. Kinda painful on the fingers! Because this thing is made of plastic, it's inevitably going to snap off one day just because of the strain it's under when being turned.

These are just okay. BUT - that opinion is based on the fact that I'm quite old now and cannot possibly lift these things once they are filled with water. A 2-gallon size would have been perfect. But no one seems to offer anything in that size. So we bought 2 of these containers. At first, one of them leaked a tiny bit, but after we re-affixed the seal and snugged down the cap, the leaking stopped. I loved the two handles built in to the container itself. And I loved that they came with a faucet you can store away and use when the time comes. I also loved that they are stackable. The ONLY reason we will not purchase more of them is that we simply cannot lift them once they are filled with water. As I said, a 2-gallon size would be nearly perfect for people our ages (late 70's and early 80's).

These are very stackable, very durable and work well after a bit of a learning curve.
The caps can *absolutely* be over tightened. When you first screw the cap in do it as gently as you can. Ease it onto the can like you're trying to tame a wild squirrel with your gentle turning motions.
I'd you tighten these like you're se badass overlander survivalist who's ready to hit the dirt roads of the great west coast then expect to get drips and puddles all over the back of your 4Runner.
Treat this like your prom date, go easy, be gentle, and stop when it wants you to.

I bought a set of two of these as camping water storage and dispensing. They're great in that they stack, and are a really nice size for moving around. Some containers are twice this size, which ends up annoyingly heavy. And these containers are great having handles on two sides, as well as being easier to clean than some other containers.

I do think I read in other reviews that you can call AquaBrick about replacement spigots, gaskets, etc. but I've found the spigot system to be pretty unreliable. The spigot doesn't really allow itself to tighten well, so would often get knocked open while traveling, or when in use. The solution would probably be to just travel with the main non-spigot cover on, and then just put on the spigot when arrived on location. But it was annoying enough that I just got the Dometic Go Water Jug instead. That thing is bulletproof.
