I bought this to solve an intermittent popping sound coming through the speakers in my stereo sys. I had isolated and substituted every component, but the popping continued, scary loud at times. Did a little searching, suggesting were that the noise was coming from the ac power lines, inside or outside house I can not say. So I did more research and decided I didn't want to spend a fortune on isolated power supplies or conditioners. The Tripp Lite Ultra Isobar 6 was recommended from various sources got it next day haven't heard a pop since. Absolutely solved the problem no bs no snake oil. I you can only pull so much power through this. I have 2 150w ab monos and 1 25w class a amp but when I add a linear power supply the monos won't power up. It works and it works well. Recomended.

Best Surge Protector On the Market
I've used Tripp Lite equipment in the past with servers and I knew they were a name to be trusted. These have filtering banks to help reduce interference and has actually fixed a ground loop issue I had previously. This will also supply your equipment with the cleanest power possible, all of the internals are overbuilt in such a way that they pass all industrial certifications. This is an American brand you can trust! On top of that recently I plugged an unknown (cheap) power cord into an adjacent outlet, all of a sudden there's a huge spark and I lose power to 8 separate outlets around the house. I have over $10k+ worth of sensitive gear plugged in including a PC, various high end audio gear, monitor etc. and everything shut down. I cross my fingers and plug the surge protector into a working outlet and everything turns on as normal. No signs of damage whatsoever! Along with lifetime warranty you get $50k insurance in case something DOES get damaged. This is a no brainer for anyone wanting to protect their expensive equipment. I just went ahead and ordered a 2nd one for the living room.

They can be a bit pricey but are a great value if you can catch them on sale. The product seems more appropriate for more expensive electronics like TV’s, stereo equipment, musical equipment, etc.
I purchased the 8-outlet model and as expected, it has the same solid construction and feel as my other TrippLite surge protectors.
Be aware that depending on the plug types you’re trying to connect, you will not be able to fit 9V ‘wall warts’ side by side on every outlet, as the spacing between outlets is limited.
Also, the cord connects to the plug at a set 45 degree angle, which can sometimes interfere if you’re sharing a duplex wall outlet with something like timer, since the timer has to plug into the lower outlet and the TrippLite has to plug into the top outlet and ends up making contact with the timer. Not really an issue having the ability to swivel the cord connection would be a nice feature.
